Pet Portraits in Huddersfield
Soft-Spot, an ex-show dog dalmatian was staying with a relative in Huddersfield while his owner was away. We were contacted to see if we could come along and take some pet portraits on location as a Christmas gift for his owner.
He certainly lived up to his name. A very congenial gentleman he was, happy to play ball or stand there and strike a pose. Softie was great fun to work with. Although the resident pooch, a border collie called Bonnie, wasn't afraid to get in on the action and photobomb a few of the shots too.
After Softie's session, we were taken into an enclosure for a few more portraits, this time of a couple of non-domesticated pets; Safari and Africa a couple of South Asian Leopard Cats. We were a little wary as we crept into the pen, stepping over the stripped chicken bones to wild hissing of fangs. However, they soon acclimatised to our presence and providing we didn't get in too close for their comfort, they were quite placid.
It was certainly a shoot of extremes, and throughly enjoyable! If you are considering a pet portrait (regardless of species), have a look at our pet portrait sessions as we would love to meet them!
