Brighouse based studio photographers put their money where their mouth is, bare all and strip off to show their clients what their boudoir or dudoir experience could be like…

Since we opened the studio, it’s fair to say that we’ve had plenty of enquiries from ladies and gents alike for the sensual photography experiences we offer. Like most curious people, they ask us about the day itself, usually tell us all the things they don’t like about their body (don’t we all), ask us about how much it would cost, but also one of the most common questions asked, especially when people call in to chat to us face-to face, is “can I see some of the work you’ve done for other people”?

Now the answer to the last question is always, without a doubt, no.

We operate on a basis of trust with our clients and would never showcase private images to any other person.  We have a range of portfolio projects we have completed with professional models, which are fine to show, but we could never betray the trust of our patrons.

So this week after a long day editing, we had a brilliant idea: let’s strip off in the studio and show to the world what 2 guys off the street can do!

We set a 30-minute target for everything. The main reason for this is that we built our studio in a beautiful 200-year-old Textile mill and we’d switched off the heating at about 2pm after our last shoot! So time was limited to our tolerance to the cold.

Now most sensible people would hire a stylist along with their shoot, to correct for the usual shine on skin as well as to fix their hair. Alas, we had no one in to help us and we managed with our gym kit hair wax and a hot coffee for good luck.

Moving from the hair & make-up room into the studio suddenly felt alien. Although we know the photographers (being business partners) very well indeed, we both found ourselves slightly nervous, although at the same time excited about the shoot; something that was picked up on straight away and diffused with banter and a good bedside manner.

A quick discussion followed, which usually we both have with our client over a hot cup of coffee in our lounge area, exploring the style of shoot we both had in mind and the images we wanted to get. As you can see here, Craig loves the guitar very much and wanted it to feature in his shoot, while Anthony "had-to-have" his beloved dickie in at least one shot!

We then moved onto set, which Anthony had prepared in the time it took Craig to faff and fettle with his day-old hair.

Picture
A low light, high contrast look was what we wanted, along with some other effects, which is exactly what we got.

We managed to squeeze 4 sets into the time we had left, which gave many different looks to play with and a lot more than either of us thought we’d have time for- possibly motivated by the cold!

Like most people, we considered how sensual we wanted our photographs to be and worked to a level of nudity we felt comfortable with; in this case it was fully nude, with an art nude finish. As artists, we’re often asked about this, as some people feel shy asking for what they want. We always say the best thing is to be really direct and honest with us. We don’t shock easily and we won’t be embarrassed, so nor should you.

Picture
Following the shoot, we’d almost forgotten about the cold, as we both felt quite elated and excited to have actually done it. Craig achieved something on his bucket list! That is, something he wanted to do before he grow up! Anthony had done something he never thought he would & now can't wait to do it again!

Editing the images, as we would for any other client, were first selected and graded before being retouched slightly to a level the client wishes.

Picture
Safe to say both Craig (33) and Anthony (41) were both pleased with their shoots, as are all of our clients to date & in this case were happy that the images be used to showcase and better explain the sensual studio experiences the Studio has to offer.

So if you're looking at a package, or if you're thinking about either a boudoir or dudoir experience of your own, call us  on 01484 599 100 to arrange a visit & tour of the studio. We'd be happy to chat over your ideas over a coffee & we're more than happy to show you our own showcase (if you really want to see)!

Also, why not check out what our clients have to say about us both on our testimonial page and our Facebook page.

Thanks for reading!
